Hrm lots of scribbling, little writing 400ish

Wrote a lot in the notebook today but very little was carried over into my story. It's odd filling in bits and pieces here and there. Got about 400 words done, but I think I'm just tired. I really need to stop reading when I'm writing. A wise woman once told me to keep away from your genre when you're writing... Good idea, why can't I follow your advice! :-)

My goal is to finish a first draft of Das Boot by my B-day on Sunday. I think it's doable. I just got to knuckle down.

I also put down a very vague outline for my novel idea. I think I may have written (lots of stuff happens) for the 3/4ths section... well the fun will be figuring out what that stuff is.

I like my characters at least. Which gives me hope... I have to at least try this time.

Ah, to finish Das Boot! Not every day is a good writing day, but every day is a writing day.

I shall try the notebook once again.

(managed another 200ish which puts me round 600ish.)
