That took much longer than expected

Wow, the first edit of part two was a bitch and a half. I hit a stumper of a paragraph that I was unable to rework today. It's frustrating as I know what should happen but it seems I have lost the ability to describe things... (seriously?) Cold night is cold. Dubstep is loud an crazymaking. Being in the boot sucks. People are mean... John Watson is having a panic attack... I should just write everything like that and be done with it.

I took a red pen to ten pages, and then was like, who was this crazy person that got a hold of and scribbled all over my pages?  Trying to decipher my own notes was like looking at hieroglyphs.  I think this is what the scribbling of a crazy person looks like... One paragraph had about fifteen arrows on it redrawing the order the words should go in... *sigh*

Well I did the first pass and will do part three tomorrow.  I was insane to think that I could do a first edit over the weekend. I think if I try to tackle more than one section at a time I might go crazy... I think this is the "picking the crap off the floor" phase of editing. I did rewrite some of the John perhaps relenting too quickly part.  I'm just not sure if after part two he would be like fuck this shit and leave the story... LOL...That's what I would do!  I think I made a case for why he would continue to participate after everything went so pear shaped, but we shall see...   Motivation is always a worry for me... As the wise Lady T said, John Watson isn't stupid!  I know this!  Really I do! *face palm*

On a unrelated note, the waiting list for AO3 is like three months now!  I was on a 2K waitlist and now it's like 4K.  That is a lot of people in queue! Thank God I signed up when I did...
