The slow crawl is slow. I'm steadily creeping my way down the page. Writing is like a muscle that needs to be exercised regularly, kind of like me.  The more you (me) stops (writing), the harder (this is true) it (writing) is to pick it up (and start) again (all together now). The past four days of getting the words down has been really really needed. When I write, I blog, so here I am. This is my reward for lining up the words. Not sure how this became part of the process. The practice of at least putting down 500 a day does much for the mood. Even though it feels like a snail crawl, everyday I get more words down than I had the day before and the path grows a bit longer. John is further down the rabbit hole, I must push him in deeper. Where is the broom?

Maybe a few more days on this chapter. I feel like it is coming to a close. Then I can bring the circus back to 221B for circus times, then I still have to sort out some location logistics for the rest of the fic. Battling a bit of, would this really happen? (Which is kind of ridiculous in this AU of fantasy sexytimes) I want to set the final half of the fic in a place that is a bit beyond their means, so the challenge is how to get them there. I know these things are fantastical but I still want to make it not too crazy compared to the context of my other crazy. I don't want it to be like, weeeell that would never happen. I'll have to see how much I can bend the edges without something giving way. Perhaps someone will phone a friend with a larger cash flow... "Hello, I'd like to phone a friend please..."

Had some tentacle fic pushing around in my mind the past few days. Perhaps as a post #5 one-shot dream fic. NewSub!John Tentacle porn... I really want to give it a try. Though my one-shots seem to  take as long as my other stuff... And the series expands with ridiculousness! Must finish in 2013! Ah even my grand goals are wee.
