Pushing down the page. Chapter 2 has found a second scene, second room? The transition from heightened to calmer needed a change of scenery even if it is about ten feet away. Haven't gone back yet to fill in the (expand)y bits. Need to find my copy of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader before I dive into that tangle. I figured I'd just plow ahead to the end of the chapter and then go back and do the shaping parts. Lots of ranting!John. I think I will probably cut the dialog by 50% but for now I'll leave in ALL THE RANTS!
Last night I went into problem solving mode and mapped out intentions to try to really get where the hell I was trying to go with this. I still am about 50% there but I think that I may only address half of the things on the list. I have to be careful to throw too many resolutions/issues into one fic, which may be why this series keeps on expanding. Everytime I get to the YAY I'm at 50% done mark another story weasels its way into the mix. I might one day be able to do the 10 fic meme on Sub!John alone... Sigh... tentacle!porn. Not really addressing any issues with that one besides the fact that I really want to write something dark and with tentacles. But I think I have a place that won't throw the series off track. At least I have a title for it.
Went on a four mile walkabout today to think about my current story issues. Sorted out how chapter 2 will end, the spiraled off on later stories. I've been trying to think of a conflict arc for my final story. I've kind of been thinking of it as a kitchen sink pornfest, but I want to throw in some kind of story arc, character arc, something so it's not plotless and there's some kind of something at stake or ... I don't know yet. Something. More thought to be had, which isn't an issue. Think of ways to add plot to porn... I'm in! Anything but a case fic... or maybe a case fic. I do not know what I'm doing here.
