So tired, I looked up and it's midnight. What the hell? Doesn't help when you get home at 9:30 then watch Being Human... Ah that's where my hour went!

Figured out the end sequence of things but then got too tired to write them in a coherent manner, ended up rewriting an exchange earlier on in the story.  God I'm so close to the end of this... I just have some challenging bits to write. I ended up adding in an exchange that I had written back in February but then have been yanking it out over and over again because it's kind of harsh, but then I put it back in. So it's in again. I just need to formulate what the hell John would do with this information.

Then I have to go through the entire story and make sure that somewhere from point A to point B there is some (a wee bit) of realization happening. I know my character arc, I now have to retrofit. But I best do that AFTER I finished the fucking part four that never seems to end... I may have thought that about part 1, 2 and 3 as well... I think I'll have to resort to action goal... like I just to have to write to the part where x does y , it's like mini hurdles instead of being like I just have to finish the story!  I like to fool myself!!

At least I'll get home a decent hour tomorrow so I wont be as lazy brained and at least I wrote the last line of the story, the last thing that S/J do and say, I had to throw out my last last scene because it was too epilogue like and lord knows I don't need anymore shit tacked onto the end of this crazytrain (even though I loved the dialogue.... NO YOU MUST GO! will save for later!)... and I got my New Joy of Gay Sex!  Again, I learn new things...  All about the learning....

Your tired ramblings amuse me, and also leave me going "She knows something about writing." I've taken English classes and all, but not any that were directed at story writing, so my terminology is fail. But I know what I like to see, and am pretty good at noticing details, so hrmm...

It's good to hear that you are close, though that can be the hardest stage to overcome. The "almost...there" business messes with my mind, anyway. Sometimes I don't want to finish, or, conversely, can't, because I have no ideas. Sounds like you've got plenty, though.

Heya! I just got the AO3 invite so I just sent it to you! Happy posting! I'll follow your archive when you do! :-) I'm not sure if I really KNOW anything about writing, I have been writing for a long time, but only for personal entertainment. I'd like to be more knowledgeable about it, develop better technique, and I think you said it best "I know what I like to see!" :-) Yeah I got a ton of ideas but most of them stay in my "Mind RV" I think it's less like a palace and more like a rickety falling apart mini-van that trundles from here to there... there's a Youtube video I saw that sums up how I feel about the creative process. I'll try to track it down, it's really great...
