Less obvious scenarios...

John wasn’t quite sure how he felt about Sherlock’s extensive theorising on which sexual situation would ensure the greatest chance of success with him, or that Sherlock had somehow deduced not only his bondage kink, but the fact that it seemed that he was actually a bit of a Sub. John shuddered at the thought of what Sherlock’s less obvious scenarios might have been.

It's so frustrating! I've been trying to figure out what those less obvious scenarios were since I wrote that damn line. If ambushing John was the most obvious scenario, then what the hell were the more obscure hair-brained plans!? I really really want to know! I want to write a story where John asks Sherlock to show him what the "less obvious" scenarios were, but I don't know what the hell they would be!  They always end up as crack in my head, like them taking a glassblowing class, or something, I mean that would definitely be less obvious... It was a complete throw-away line, but I since then I've been trying to figure out what he was referring to in that... Damn it! My own AU characters out smart me! That is really bad. It's been like two months in and I still haven't got a clue. I really doubt it's glass blowing.  Hopefully the answer will just come to me one day...  I can make them into interludes. Less Obvious Scenario, Even Less Obvious... The Least Obvious...

Hmm. Perhaps... perhaps Sherlock deduces John wants Sherlock to order him (John) to hurt him (Sherlock)? Sort of an inversion of the whole 'doctor' thing, but still decently safe in that John will know just how bad any damage he's inflicting is (and can, at least theoretically, patch Sherlock up again afterward).

Masochistic doms (or sadistic subs) aren't done that often in fic, but I always find it terribly interesting.

Hrm, livejournal ate my previous reply, but it is interesting that you had that suggestion! The fourth story in the series, if I manage to finish the third one, was about John being asked to create a scenario for Sherlock and how John deals with that request/responsibility... (it seems that your psychic powers are expanding...) I have been noodling on that idea for awhile, and have absolutely no idea how it will all play out, but I'm looking forward to writing it :-)It is a really interesting dynamic, I totally agree! Leaps and bounds better than glassblowing :-)

Haha, I have to say, I sort of love the idea of something completely random like glassblowing. Sherlock's all "blow harder" and John's just... confused about how this is supposed to be fun, at all, and then they go home and get naked.

Yeah, don't write that. I like your ideas better. (and great minds, eh? I am SO looking forward to the continuation of this series!)
